I always have trouble finding the item I want in the Windows 98 Start menu because they aren't arranged in to any kind of order. Is there a way to reorganise them so they're more intuitively listed?
You can drag and drop items so that the ones you use most often are placed near the top. Click Start, Programs. Click on a menu item and hold down the button, then drag it to the position you want. As you drag it into position you'll see a line appear showing where it will be inserted when you release the button.
Windows doesn't automatically sort the items by name because that would upset the arrangement you created. But if you would prefer the menu items to be ordered by name, right-click the menu and select Sort by Name from the context menu.
